MY PROFILE

MERCEDITA CENTENO-DE JESUS, Born in the province of Bulacan in the Philippines, married to Generoso De Jesus, with children Hydee and Hadji. She now resides and works in Bologna as Collaboratore Famigliare. Graduate of Architecture, a handicrafts artist and designer, a poet, a journalist, founding President of the Filipino Women’s League in Bologna, co-founder of the Council on Youth Leadership and Development in Northern Italy and the Secretary-General of the OFW Watch Italy and an active leader in other Filipino community organizations in Italy and in the Philippines.

From 2012, started to dedicate her leisure time to contemporary painting. She participated in small art exhibits in Inzago and in Bologna commemorating Women’s Day and One Billion Rising Revolution, and during the ART EXPO 2016 and 2017 under the Momenti D’ Artista ART DREAM. She is now deep into studying painting and design under Erica Calardo (Imago Blu Group) and in sharing her skills to children and other art lovers thru conducting art workshops under her group ARTE CREATIVA -Bologna. Known for her artist name, MADITTZ
